Westwood opened play in the Big Southeast Conference Tournament on Saturday with a 9 to 1 defeat of Liberty. Lexi Medley had a 2 run home run for the Lady Rockets and it would be all the runs Westwood would need as Raven Rogers got the win striking out 6 in 6 innings of play while allowing only 2 hits. Carlee Sullivan pitched 1 inning of scoreless relief striking out 2. Rogers finished 3 for 3 with 3 RBI, Medley was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI and Haley Miller was 2 for 2 with a double.
In the 2nd game, Westwood took on the #2 seeded Cascade. Westwood got on the board first as Rogers scored in the top of the first inning on a Byanka Woods RBI groundout, but Cascade led 6 to 3 going into the 7th inning. Rogers and Medley scored as Woods had another RBI but the rally fell short as the Rockets were dropped into the elimination bracket by a final score of 6 to 5. Rogers finished with 3 hits, Destiny Spaulding had 3 walks and Mikayla Reel added an RBI for the Lady Rockets.
In the final game of the night, in the elimination bracket, Westwood disposed of Fayetteville by a final of 11 to 6. Rogers was 3 for 4 again with 4 RBI while striking out 11. Lexi Medley and Kristen Wray were also 3 for 4 on the night while Destiny Spaulding was 2 for 3 with a walk.

The Westwood softball season came to a close on Sunday afternoon in the semifinals of the Big Southeast Conference Tournament at the hands of the regular season champions Community by a final score of 11 to 1.
