Mrs. Sherrie “Boogie” Nelson Brawley, age 60, of Tullahoma passed away Tuesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born in Peoria, IL to the late Charles “Jake” and Genevieve Brasswell Nelson. In addition to her parents he is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Brawley, a brother, Kevin Nelson and a sister, Sue Lynn Nelson.
Mrs. Brawley was a 1974 graduate of Tullahoma High School and received her licensed practical nursing degree from Coffee County General Hospital in 1974. She enjoyed her career as a nurse for over 40 years. She enjoyed her friends, family, shopping, traveling and concerts but most of all enjoyed life.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brawley will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Nutter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 till 8:00 PM Saturday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
He is survived by a two brothers, Tom Nelson of Tullahoma, Ronnie (Linda) Nelson of Manchester, nieces and nephews, Michelle (Jeremy) McCormick of Tullahoma, Rebecca Nelson of Manchester, Phillip Nelson of Tullahoma, Lacey (Joey) Burns of Tullahoma, Jason Rackley of Tullahoma and numerous nieces and nephews
