Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Helton passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his residence in Manchester after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Maggie Rogers Helton; brothers, Otha Helton and Robert Helton; sister, Iva Lane, all of Lenior City, TN; and a sister, Inez Carroll of Idaho.
Mr. Helton was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Manchester and was a member of the Masons for over 50 years, Masonic Highland Lodge # 214. He enjoyed reading, classical music and gardening but his greatest joy in life was providing for his family. He retired in 1982 from AEDC as a machinist.
In addition to his siblings, Mr. Helton is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Raye Tallent Helton, who passed away July 23, 2012.
Survivors include three children, Richard Helton and wife, Linda of Hillsboro, TN; Dinah Walker and husband, David of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda Ghorbani also of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Tracy Todd, Nathan Walker and Susan Ghorbani and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
