Last night at Willowbrook golf course, Coffee County senior Jacob Prater signed a scholarship to continue his academic and golf career at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, TN. Prater was a captain on this year’s Raider golf team and was named All-District and earned a berth in the TSSAA state championship tournament in October of this year.
Tennessee Wesleyan competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics or NAIA. The Bulldogs are the pre-season 20th ranked team in the nation and under the direction of 8th year Head Coach Mike Poe. Tennessee Wesleyan finished 10th in nation last season.
Prater received other offers but thought this was the best fit for him.
