Liberty Spoils Westwood Homecoming on Thursday Night

The Liberty Patriots scored 40 first half points while only having 3 offensive snaps to drop the Westwood Rockets football team 52 to 6 in Thursday’s Homecoming game at Dyer-Bouldin Field. Liberty returned a Westwood fumble on the opening kickoff for a touchdown and also returned 2 interceptions for touchdowns as the Rockets could not get a big play of their own. Westwood scored a 4th quarter touchdown on a 13 yard TD run from Trenton Thompson. Thompson finished the night with 3 carries for 55 yards. Henry Garcia had 1 run for 51 yards while Jacob Floyd rushed 15 times for 46 yards. In the halftime homecoming festivities, Floyd was named the Homecoming King while Carlee Sullivan was crowned the Homecoming Queen . Westwood concludes their season on Thursday, October 1st, as they travel to Eagleville. That game is set to kick off at 6:30 PM.
