Coffee County’s Lady Raiders jumped to an early 1-0 lead after one inning at Warren County on Friday afternoon. The Lady Raiders added one more run in the 5th inning and had to hold on for a 2-1 win.
Coffee County was led by Shelby Scrivnor’s hitting. Scrivnor went 3-4 and drove in one. She singled in the first, third, and fifth innings. She was named the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game.
Brianna Jones got the win as she gave up only one hit and no runs through 4 1/3 before handing the ball over to Kaylee Skipper for the final 2 2/3. Skipper earned the save.
The win improved the Lady Raiders to 18-3-1 on the season. Coffee County at 10-0 in District 8-AAA play will try and make it 11-0 on Monday night as they travel to Tullahoma. Gametime is 7pm with airtime on Thunder Radio beginning at 5:50pm.
