The Coffee Co. Lady Raiders finished off a great run in the Lady Warrior Classic with a record of 6-1. On Friday Coffee Co. defeated Fenton, Ill 11-0. Ginny Clayborne had 3 hits and 3 runs scored and Taylor Gullett, Niki Campbell and Bricen Hunt all 2 RBI’s each. Alaina Lusk was the winning pitcher with a 2-hitter.

In game 2 Friday the Lady Raiders picked up an 8-6 win over GPS. Bricen Hunt was named the Gateway Tire Player of the Game as she had 3 hits, 3 RBI’s and was the winning pitcher. Julie Layne added 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases.

In game 1 of 3 on Saturday Coffee Co. got a 2-run homer from Chelsea Howell in 6th inning to give the Lady Raiders a 2-1 win over Hueytown, Ala. Brianna Jones was very impressive allowing only 3 hits.

Game 2 saw Coffee Co. take on Maryville and the Lady Raiders win 4-1. The ladies hit the ball very well with 11 hits. Julie Layne, Ginny Clayborne, Karlie Benedict and Anna Spellings all with two. Nicki Campbell knocked in 2 runs. Alaina Lusk got her 2nd win in the tournament.

In Coffee Co. last game the ladies defeated East Hamilton 11-5. Chelsea Howell had 3 hits including her 2nd homer of the year and she scored 4 runs. Bricen Hunt was the winning pitcher.

Riverdale at 7-0 was named champions with Coffee Co. at 6-1 finishing in 5th place. The (11-2) Lady Raiders were to host Goodpasture today but due to an accident that took the life of Goodpasture student the game has been cancelled.
