The Lady Raider basketball season ended on Monday night at the hands of Columbia in the first round of the District 8AAA basketball tournament. The Lady Raiders, playing host to Columbia in the play-in game, got eight 3 pointers on the night but fell by a final score of 52 to 35. The Lady Lions opened up a 6 to 3 lead in the first 4 minutes of the game and never trailed Coffee County. The Lady Raiders made a few rallies in the second half but could never get the deficit below 4 points. Senior Cameron Davis finished with 9 points for the Lady Raiders while senior Sydney Pearson and sophomore Bailey Morgan each dropped in 8 points. Morgan earned the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game honors for Coffee County. The loss ended the Lady Raiders season as they finished with a final record of 12 and 16. The Red Raiders open district tournament play on Tuesday night at home as they play host to Tullahoma. That game will tip off at 6 PM and you can hear the broadcast on Thunder Radio.
