Missed extra points spelled doom for the freshman Raider football team for the second time this week as they dropped a 14 to 12 decision to Franklin County on Thursday night at Carden-Jarrell Field.  The Red Raiders matched the visiting Rebels in touchdowns as they scored on 2 big plays.  Trace Bryant returned a kickoff 65 yards for one Coffee County score while Andrew Mahaffey hit Weston Hargrove on a 50 yard touchdown reception for the other score.   The freshmen Raiders next game is scheduled for Thursday, September 10th as they host Grundy County.  The freshman game is set to begin at 5:30 PM as part of a freshman/JV doubleheader at Carden-Jarrell Field.
