Coffee County played classic David Muckle basketball last night leading after each of the first 3 quarters. The Lady Raiders playing great defense like Coach Muckle likes it held the advantage through the 4th to beat Shelbyville 32-24.
Ginny Clayborne and Alaina Lusk led Coffee County with 10 points. The duo combined to block 10 shots and earned the Gateway Tire and Service Center Players of the Game. The ladies are 3-2 on the year.

Going into the game last night the Red Raider boy’s team had not beaten Shelbyville since Dec. 10, 2002. That all changed last night at Joe Frank Patch Gymnasium. Coffee County jumped to a 9-0 in the 1st quarter and extended the lead to 35-20 at halftime. The Raiders would get their first win in its last 20 games over the Eagles 67-53.
Lance Crismond led (2-3) Coffee County with 23 points and his brother Lucas had 15 and received the player of the game.
Both Raider teams will play at Lincoln County Thursday night starting at 6pm on Thunder Radio.
