Friday night in high school basketball Coffee County traveled to Fayetteville to take on Lincoln County. The Lady Raiders fell behind after one quarter 17-5 but battled back to get within 7 at halftime, 31-24. The Lady Falcons would hold Coffee County to just 3 points in the 3rd on their way to a 57-41 district win.
Tyger Fenton led the Lady Raiders with 15 and earned the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game.
Coffee County drops to 13-11 overall and 2-6 in district.
In boys play the Raiders jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter only to see Lincoln County grab the lead with 3:10 left in the 2nd. The Falcons never looked back as they held a 27-21 advantage at the half. Lincoln County continued their good shooting as they extended the lead to 16 at the end of the 3rd and went on to a 68-44 District 8-AAA win.
Peyton Talley was the player of the game with 14 points for the Raiders and J.P. Duncan added 12.
Coffee County fell to 4-19 and 0-8 in 8-AAA play.
