The Coffee County CHS Cross Country season came to a close on Thursday afternoon in the Region 4AAA meet in Smyrna.  The Raider and Lady Raider harriers continued to show improvements in their personal best times but no one qualified for next weekend’s state meet.  The Red Raiders placed 4 runners in the top 50 of the crowded field.   James Lynn was again the high finisher for Coffee County as he finished in a time of 18:02.3 for a 22nd place finish.  Bradley Kishpaugh finished in 39th place at 19:14.7, Andy Rosson was 43rd at 19:36.2, Edgar Marceleno finished in 49th at 19:59.3.  Ryan Farless ran a time of 20:49.4, Ben Reid finished in 22:12.5 and Rueben Chaput clocked a 22:31.9.  The Raider team finished in 6th place; just behind 5th place Columbia for the highest District 8AAA team finish.

The Lady Raiders placed 3 runners in the Top 30, but did not have enough runners to register a team score. Byanka Woods had a 33rd place finish with a time of 26:04.8. Makenzie Morgan was 35th at 26:09.6 and Katie Folke was 38th at 26:39.4. Jasmine Farrar clocked a time of 29:18.9 for the Lady Raiders. 2015 is the 2nd season for CHS Cross Country since the sport was revived after almost a 30 year hiatus.
