Funeral services for Argie Ruth Ridner, age 88, of Manchester will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the chapel of Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Willie Bradford officiating.
Burial will follow atHurricaneCemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Ridner passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Ridner was born April 18, 1924 in Cannon County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Calvin and Mattie Frazier Bush.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at both the Manchester Hospital and Harton Hospital. She also worked at the Canning Factory in Manchester. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Russell Ridner who passed away in 2007; one daughter, Barbara Ann Ridner; three brothers, Ivy, Virgil and Evans Bush; and one sister, Minnie Nunley.
She is survived by five sons, Jesse Floyd Jernigan of McMinnville, Danny Norman Jernigan of Manchester, Samuel Steven Ridner of Manchester, Russell Eugene Ridner of Manchester and Bobby Wayne Ridner and his wife, Carolyn of Manchester; one daughter, Robbie Faye Key of McMinnville; one daughter – in- law, Diane Whittemore of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Steven Dewane Ridner, James Russell Ridner, Angela Marie Ridner, Sandra Denise Starkes, Laura Ann Sanders, Sylene Ridner, Daniel Ridner and Samuel Lee Ridner; twenty great grandchildren; two nieces, Lillie Bush and Janie Blackburn and four nephews, Gary, Ralph, Jerry Wayne and Winfred Bush.
