Clarence Howard McCormick, age 76 of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. He is a native of Coffee County and the son of the late Hubert McCormick and Essie Baker McCormick. Mr. McCormick was a member of Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester and was retired from the City of Manchester where he worked in the department of water works. He was married to Shirley McCormick in 1955 and they shared 28 years together before her passing 1983. Mr. McCormick is survived by his children: Michael (Margie) McCormick, Randy (Diane) McCormick and Denise (Jeff) Holycross all of Hillsboro. He is survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Janice Robinson in 2005 as well as three sisters: Maymie Lee Gaultney, Juanita Dickerson and Edna McCormick. He was also preceded in death by one brother,Herman McCormick and one daughter Janice Robinson, who passed away in 2005. Visitation with the family was on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester. Funeral services were at the church at 11 a.m.Saturday, November 15, 2014 with Pastor Rick Clouse and Pastor Danny Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to Gowen-Smith Chapel for funeral expenses.
