Warren County Sheriff Deputy Hurt In High Speed Chase

police chaseTwo people were arrested Friday following a high-speed pursuit that left a Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy slightly injured.
Sheriff Jackie Matheny said an investigator was attempting a traffic stop on 24 year old Steven Matthew Brady and 29 year old Tammy Renee Cruisinberry, who were both wanted locally-Brady for violation of parole and Cruisinberry for violation of probation. The pursuit began in McMinnville.
Matheny said Brady refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit on Highway 108 into Grundy County. The pursuit, which also included officers from Grundy and Coffee Counties, then led back into the Viola area, where Brady’s vehicle reportedly struck a patrol vehicle, causing it to flip several times and land on its top. Deputy, Billy Joe Crouch, who was driving the patrol car, suffered only minor injuries.
Brady and Cruisinberry drove into a field and fled on foot. Brady was caught quickly by deputies. Cruisinberry was capture by a TWRA officer.
Brady will face numerous charges, including aggravated assault.
