The annual Old Timers Day celebration was held over the weekend in downtown Manchester. The activities began Friday night and ran all day Saturday.
The Wizzard of Oz float was named the winner of the parade contest. On the square in Manchester those attending Old Timers Day enjoyed many things to do including a petting zoo, greased pole climb, clogging, musical groups throughout the day, children’s activities, food and craft booths and an old fashioned ice cream eating contest.
The greased pole winner was Freddie Poetting, he won $50. This was the first time someone climbed to top in several years. Ms Jamie Rollins completed a quart and half of ice cream to win that contest and Travis Milligan won a laptop from the Old Timers Day committee.
Plans are underway for next year’s event. (More pictures below)
