Trailing by 7 points at the half and 4 points entering the 4th quarter, the Lady Raiders of Coffee Middle needed to play a nearly flawless 4th quarter to claim an important CTC conference win on Monday night at home.  Offensively, the Lady Raiders outscored  the Lady Pioneers 13 to 3 in the final frame to claim the dramatic 43 to 37 win.  The game was won at the free throw line as Warren County hit only 2 of their 17 second half free throws while the Lady Raiders converted 11 of 22 2nd half free throws to improve to 12 and 1 on the season.  Alisha Jennings was high scorer for the Lady Raiders as she finished with 14 points.  Julia Duncan netter 11 points and Lindsey Perry tallied 8 points.

The Raiders battled the visiting Pioneers neck and neck throughout the first half trailing 26 to 22 at intermission.  As Warren County cranked up the defensive pressure in the 2nd half, the Raiders lost their scoring touch finishing with only 2 second half field goals as they fell by a final score of 45 to 29.  Andrew Mahaffey was the leading scorer for Coffee County as he finished with 10 points while Weston Hargrove netted 7.  Briggs Haithcock and Chay Chumley each had 1st quarter 3 point baskets for Coffee County.  The Raiders and Lady Raiders will be off for Christmas break until January 5th when they host White County  for a 6 PM doubleheader at the Coffee County Middle School Gym.
