James Austin Hall Sr., of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 at his residence at the age of 93.
He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy and later went on to work as a Mechanical Supervisor with A.E.D.C. He retired from A.E.D.C. in VKF under the contractors Arvin and Calspan after 28 years. Mr. Hall was a member of the Tullahoma Masonic Lodge 262 for over 50 years, worked with Meals on Wheels for 22 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Hall; and two sisters, Earlene Loveless, and Helen Keahey.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Marian Sharber of Tullahoma; two daughters, Sandy Jordan and her husband Flynt of Sevierville, and Kristi Jenkins and her husband Joe of Sevierville; one son, Jim Hall and his wife Patti of Sevierville; two step-sons, Geary Sharber and his wife Vicki of Florence, South Carolina, and Donald Sharber and his wife Virginia of LaVergne, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Kaye Payne and her husband, Dr. Michael Payne of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Jessie Dean Smith, and Bobbie Ledlow; six grandchildren, Jay (Angie) Jordon, Karson J. Barczak, Jessica Jenkins (Jamie White), Kayla Jenkins (Chris Bolton), Steven Weed, Stuart Weed (Debbie), Leslie Green (William), and Christopher Weed (Beth Schultz); and 12 great-grandchildren, Eric, Garrett, Brayden, Ava, Raleigh, Ansley, Brantley, Michael, River, Kelly, Ian, Jeremy, and Caleb.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28th, 2014 from 12:30pm-2:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Watts and Rev. Christian Watts officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
Pallbearers will be Flynt Jordan, Jay Jordan, Garrett Jordan, Joe Jenkins, Jamie White, and Chris Bolton. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the York Sunday School Class.
