Some good economic news came out of Nashville Wednesday.
State Representative David Alexander (of Winchester) announced that the Tennessee Dept. of Economic Commission is awarding over $4 million to Nissan in Decherd for the training of over 800 new jobs at the plant. Alexander stated that the grant which is known as the Fast Trac Grant has been in the works for some time and is very great for the area.
Alexander stated that with the awarding of the grant there will be more jobs added to Nissan in Decherd. “This is great news for Franklin County,” Representative Alexander proudly stated Wednesday afternoon.
