Manchester area attorney Christina Stanford turned herself into the Coffee County Jail Monday night after being named in sealed indictments by last week’s grand jury.
According to the indictment, Stanford used another person’s identity including a partial social security number without that person’s permission. She allegedly was trying to prevent Jamie Stanford from receiving her account records through the U S mail.
Christina Stanford’s attorney Bobby Carter stated Tuesday that that the situation stems from a post-divorce matter involving the pay-off of a debt and that he looks forward to clearing her name.
Christina Stanford is scheduled to appear in Coffee County Circuit Court Oct. 22 for arraignment.
