After One Year Mother Remains Missing

Shelly Mook

Tuesday marked one year since the disappearance of a Shelbyville mother and teacher. Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said that although a year has passed, they are still no closer to locating Shelley Mook. Mook disappeared February 28 after she dropped off her 6-year-old daughter at her ex-husband’s home. Her burned out car was found in Murfreesboro that same night, where she had recently moved. Police canvassed the area and search the home of Mook’s ex-husband, but all to no avail. Mook was presumed dead– but investigators say they need to find her body before they can charge anyone. The reward for information in her case now totals $20,000.
