  MEETING</h3>\n<p align='center'>\n<p>  Maj. Gen. Benjamin F. Cheatham Cam
 p 72 will have their first dinner meeting for 2013 at 6:00 P.M.\, Tuesday\
 , January 22 at the Oak Restaurant in Manchester. At 7:00 P.M. Commander W
 illiams will open the meeting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For our program this mont
 h\, we will have Mike Corley from the Smithville camp. He will be speaking
  on the efforts to erect a monument to “Pomp” Kersey on Short Mountain. “P
 omp” Kersey was a 13 year old Confederate who led a small contingent of te
 enage “bushwhackers” who defended the area around Short Mountain. He was k
 illed by Union troops on 24 July 1864.  For the most up to date info\, ple

 rs to present the programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Meetings are open to the gen
 eral public and all War Between the States buffs have a special invitation
  for the program.</p>\n<p>Membership in the Sons of Confederate Veterans i
 s open to all males 12 years of age and above who had an ancestor that ser
 ved honorably in the Confederate Armed Forces or the Confederate Congress 
 and can prove kinship either lineal or collaterally. Help is available to
