  P.M.<br />\nCoffee County Fairgrounds</p>\n<p>The horse show is the main 
 source of funding for the Manchester<br />\nLions Club’s service projects\
 , some of which are paying for eye<br />\nexams and\, if needed\, eyeglass
 es for those who cannot afford<br />\nthem (just under $6\,000 this year)\
 ; collecting and paying postage<br />\nfor used eyeglasses to be mailed to
  collection centers\, then to<br />\nthird world countries to be distribut
 ed to the very poor\, who are<br />\ngiven eye exams and are fitted for gl
 asses\; sponoring a Little<br />\nLeague team ($400)\; sponsoring the LEO 
 Club and two<br />\nscholarships at the high school ($1100)\;  and many ot
 her<br />\ncommunity services. Every dollar raised at this event goes to<b
 r />\nsight service projects or others\, as mentioned earlier.</p>\n<p>The
 re will be a special exhibition of this year’s World Grand<br />\nChampion
  Owner-Amateur Two Year Old Walking Horse\, crowned<br />\nat the National
  Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration in<br />\nShelbyville just one month 
 ago. The horse’s owner and rider\, Jo<br />\nAnn Dowell and Sue Ann Dowell
 \, respectively\, are from Ohio<br />\nand plan to attend.</p>\n<p>The Eme
 rgency Management Agency will be selling delicious pork barbecue<br />\nan
 d barbecue chicken - plates and sandwiches.</p>\n<p>Come enjoy a good meal
 \, watch lots of fine horses strut their<br />\nstuff\, choose your favori
 tes and cheer them on\, all the while<br />\nhelping Manchester Lions serv
 e those who are in need\,<br />\nespecially in the area of sight conservat
 ion. Helen Keller\, many<br />\nyears ago\, charged the Lions to be “Knigh
 ts of the Blind”. Lions<br />\neverywhere accepted\, and are still accepti
 ng that challenge<br />\ntoday. Join us as “We Serve” together.</p>\n<p>Ti
