Meet the naturalist at the South Cumberland Visitor Center parking lot for an easy 2-mile round trip hike. Join us for this hike to see and hear the differences of the night time at the park. Bring a flashlight.

Golfers invited to play in the Willowbrook Fore Man Scramble

Area golfers are invited to play in the second annual Fore Man Scramble golf tourney on Saturday, June 22 at the Willowbrook Golf Course.

All proceeds go to the Manchester Kiwanis Club and the Manchester Old Timers Day.

Competition will be broken down to four-man teams.

The $75 fee ($45 fee for Willowbrook members) includes green fees, golf cart, lunch and a chance to win prizes. Included is a chance to hit a hole in one on the 27th and win a new car from John Roberts.

Tournament officials are also looking for sponsorships.

Rule sheet sponsors are $10, cart sponsors are $25, half sponsors are $50 and hole sponsorship is $100.

Forest Mill Cemetery – Clean-Up

The Board of Trustees for the Forest Mill Cemetery has set an annual clean-up and Decoration Day on Saturday before Memorial Day.

This year it will be on May 25th at 10:00.

Cleaning crews are needed to help with removal of outdated flowers, weed-eating, cleaning fence row, etc.  Decorating the graves and visitiation will follow.

Please pass this information on to all family and other concerned persons. 

Treasurer will be available for donations.  One hundred percent of all donations go to annual cemetery maintenance.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Special tribute to Zora Bean for over 60 years in God’s Service.

Will be on The Church of God lawn located at 126 Garner Road in Roarks Cove near Alto, Tennessee.

Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th

Various singing groups are scheduled to perform.  Bring your instrument a join in with this special time on program.

Singing begins at 10:00 a.m. under the big tent.  Concessions begin at 11:00 a.m. with your choice of fish or BBQ, cole slaw, baked beans, fries and drink.

Homemade ice cream and desserts will be sold by the church’s youth department.  All other proceeds go to church’s building fund.
