Golfers invited to play in the Willowbrook Fore Man Scramble

Area golfers are invited to play in the second annual Fore Man Scramble golf tourney on Saturday, June 22 at the Willowbrook Golf Course.

All proceeds go to the Manchester Kiwanis Club and the Manchester Old Timers Day.

Competition will be broken down to four-man teams.

The $75 fee ($45 fee for Willowbrook members) includes green fees, golf cart, lunch and a chance to win prizes. Included is a chance to hit a hole in one on the 27th and win a new car from John Roberts.

Tournament officials are also looking for sponsorships.

Rule sheet sponsors are $10, cart sponsors are $25, half sponsors are $50 and hole sponsorship is $100.

Where: CHS Bus loading zone

What: Runners will leave the CHS bus loading zone as individuals or in teams of two. They will visit local businesses on a list provided to them and answer questions. The first 3 individuals and first 3 teams to finish will receive an award created by CHS students. There will be several prize drawings for all contestants beginning at 11:00. You DON’T want to miss this!!! All ages and abilities welcome!!!!

Cost:

$25.00 individual   or   $45.00 team until April12,2013

$30.00 individual    or    $55.00 team after April 12, 2013

The Hillsboro Methodist Women Annual Bake Sale

bake sale 2The Hillsboro Methodist Women will have their annual bake sale on May 18 in front of the Manchester Walmart beginning at 8 a.m.

There will be homemade cakes, pies, cookies and other baked goods.

Proceeds will be used for purchasing school clothes for children in need at Hillsboro Elementary School and for other mission projects.

This month’s event is Sat. May 18th in front of the New Life Church Building, 2081 Hillsboro Blvd, in Manchester from 9am to 1pm.

CCHS will pay for heartworm testing, rabies shot, and spay or neuter for all adopted dogs.

Animal Control charges a small adoption fee which is partially refundable.

The annual Mt. Carmel Cemetery Homecoming
11:00 am

homecomingwill be held at 11:00am on Sunday, May 19th at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

The morning message will be delivered by church pastor Bro. Mark Foster.

There will be a cemetery business meeting and a dinner following the morning service.

We invite everyone to attend with all offerings going to the cemetery fund.
