The Coffee County Visually Impaired Person’s Group will meet at 10:00 AM, Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at the “Fletcher Out-Reach Bldg.” at Forest Mill Church of Christ, 3388 McMinville Hwy., Manchester, TN.
The Coffee Co. POP’s Stars, under the direction of Richard Gable, will perform Christmas music. POP’s (Power of Postive Students) Stars are students from Coffee County elementary schools.
Following the program and business meeting, everyone will enjoy a buffet of finger foods.
Persons with any degree or type of vision loss and their family & friends are welcome to attend.
OLDE TOWNE CHRISTMAS STROLL SHOWCASES LOCAL TALENT
Olde Towne Christmas Stroll is a longstanding Tullahoma Tradition, and we invite you to join us Tuesday, December 10 from 5pm – 8 pm. This free musical celebration takes place in Tullahoma’s historic district, and performance times and venues are below.
This year’s concerts features the Tullahoma High School Band and Singers, including the Aristocats, Tullahoma East Lincoln and Robert E Lee Choir, Clean Hands Ministry, Girl Scouts caroling, art exhibits and other music that will leave you with the spirit of the season. ” Tullahoma has great musical talent, and this is a fun way to sample some of the musical groups our town offers” said Mayor Lane Curlee.
The Historic Daves-Cublertson Funeral Home will have a community Tree of Memory Service? where guests can hang an ornament. They also will host Christmas music and an uplifting message by Reverend Jim Fields.
Participants are also asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots or a non-perishable food item. These gifts can be left at any location. Just label the package Toys for Tots and arrangements will be made to take them to Fire Station 1 at 613 North Jackson.
TFAC will also have an art exhibit featuring Small Wonders 12 x 12 or smaller and the Nativity Scenes by Ann Smotherman. The United Daughters of the Confederacy (Chapter 327) and Sons of Confederate Veterans (Chapter 72) will be dressed in 19th century costume and mingling with visitors. Printed schedules will be available at TFAC and at City Hall during business hours on December 11. The schedule is also available on the city?s website.
