The Annual Green Reunion will be held on Sunday, September 29th on Douglas Ridge (Daddy Green Rd.) at the Green and Douglas Cemetery Picnic Area.
Bring a covered dish. Lunch to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Relatives and Friends are invited. Donations will be appreciated to help with the maintenance of the Green and Douglas Cemetary.
Home based, direct sales, and local small businesses have donated items to raise money for local charities.
How it works: Each item up for bid will be displayed for all guests to see. The auctioneer then gives a brief description, retail value and how many quarters you will need to bid. Guest will give their bid (quarters) and hold up their numbered paddle. If you have more than one paddle, you must place a bid for each one. When all bids are collected, then the auctioneer will draw a numbered chip from the container. If the number on the paddle matches the number on the chip drawn, the guest wins that item. If a matching numbered paddle is not held up, the auctioneer will draw again, until we have a winner. Once we have a winner all chips will be placed back in the container and go to the next item to be auctioned.
We will have an intermission between rounds of the auction to allow time to see the vendors, get your door prize slip signed, purchase items, or to book parties. A 50/50 cash raffle is also available: $1 per ticket or $5 for 10 tickets. All money raised from paddles, auction, and half of the 50/50 raffle goes to the charity of the month.
Please come and help us raise money for this great cause. You could walk away with new items for as little as a dollar. All money collected goes to the charity. Hope to see everyone there.

Tullahoma Utilities Board to Host Public Power Week Celebration
Tullahoma Utilities Board (TUB) will host its annual Public Power Week Celebration on Thursday, October 3rd from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. The event is a way for TUB—and the community—to celebrate decades of reliable public power. TUB is one of more than 2,000 other electric utilities that collectively provide electricity on a not-for-profit basis to 45 million Americans.
Public Power Week is a national, annual event that originated 27 years ago. It is sponsored in conjunction with the American Public Power Association (APPA) in Washington, D.C. APPA is the service organization for community and state-owned electric utilities.
The event will take place at TUB grounds and will host a wide variety of events including bucket truck rides, pizza, ice cream, memorial utility pole climbs, a prize wheel with cash giveaways, a bounce house, games, face painting, and much more! What’s even better is that the entire event is free to the community!
TUB was created in 1947. Today, it has approximately 80 employees, serves approximately 10,500 utility customers, and has two substations that receive power directly from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
TUB is the only provider of electric, water, and wastewater services in the city of Tullahoma. In addition, TUB is the only locally owned, governed, and managed telecommunications company in Tullahoma, offering television, Internet, and telephone services through its LightTUBe division to residents and businesses in the city since 2008. TUB is located at 901 S. Jackson Street in Tullahoma and is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The contact phone number for the TUB office is (931) 455-4515.
