PRESS RELEASE

Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park will hold their annual Spring Nature Day Saturday March 30th with programs occurring all day beginning at 8:30 am.  Throughout the day, there will be wildflower hikes, bird walks, and an interpretive hike around the Native American mound site known as the Old Stone Fort.  The day will conclude with a program on snakes followed by a birds of prey program including a majestic bald eagle.  See the complete schedule of free programs listed below.  All programs will begin at the park museum with the exception of the two bird walks.  The bird hikes will begin at the site of the former golf course in the lower parking lot.  The area now used as a paved walking trail is located at the end of Country Club Drive in Manchester.    Call the park office at (931)723-5073 or email Park Manager Keith Wimberley at Keith.Wimberley@tn.gov for more information.
