When the officer asked for driver license and registration, Phillips was only able to provide proof of insurance. One other person was in the car, Brittney Cargile. She was ask by the officer if she had anything illegal. The police report states that Cargile told Colvin and Sgt Justin Smith who had arrived on the scene that Phillips handed her a bag of marijuana, bag of meth ice, three capsules of meth ice and pain pills. She allegedly told the officers that Phillips told her to put the drugs in her underwear where they wouldn’t search for them there. She claimed that he had threatened her if she didn’t hide the drugs.
Cargile and Phillips were charged with possession of schedule I,II,III and VI. They were both booked into the Coffee County Jail under a bond of $26,000. They are to appear in Coffee County General Sessions Court Nov. 26. (Thanks to Wayne Thomas of the Tullahoma News for his help with this story)
