Chloe Malone Winn Peebles, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 87.
Mrs. Peebles was born in Laurel, Mississippi to the late James Williamson and Edith Steel Winn.
She was a member of the D.A.R., The Shady Grove Garden Club, A.E.D.C. Women’s Club, Highland Rim Ornithological Society, and served on the Lannom Library Board and the Coffee County Library Board. Mrs. Peebles was a lifelong Episcopalian and was active in the Episcopal Church Women and Altar Guild.
Mrs. Peebles is survived by her husband of 63 years , Howell Peebles of Tullahoma; two sons; Dr. Howell “Howie” Peebles III and his wife Laurie of Crossville and Winn Peebles and his wife Jeannie of Sevierville; one daughter, Chloe Hannah and her husband Paul of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Alice Hawes (Jake), Howell Peebles (Lisa), Susan Headrick (Martin), Heather Chance, Tucker Hannah (Julie), Duncan Hannah, and Gentry Hannah; and three great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hawes, Megan and Emily Headrick.
Visitation for Mrs. Peebles will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Father Michael Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
