Tullahoma Police Investigator Rena Pawlowski arrested John K. Wright of John Mark Court of Manchester on the charges, Oct 29.
The victim told Pawlowski that the alleged rape occurred after she had been drinking at a residence on Lincoln Street and got sick on the front porch and threw up. The assailant allegedly told the investigator that they had been drinking.
The victim told the investigator that she then laid down on the couch and her former boyfriend, Wright, laid down behind her and told her that he just “wanted to keep her warm.”
The woman alleged that Wright then pulled her panties down and raped her, even though she asked him to stop. She also stated that he place a pillow over her face during the rape.
During an interview with police, Wright allegedly stated that he and the woman had sex but that it was consensual. He also stated that the pillow fell on the victim’s face and that he put his hand on the front of the pillow to take it off of her.
Wright is scheduled to appear in Coffee County General Sessions Court Nov. 7.
