According to a report by Officer Jamie Norris, around 9:45 p.m. two white men entered the restaurant wearing blue bandanas over their faces and were armed with pistols. They then demanded the business’ money.
While the KFC was being robbed, they struck employee Barbie Dodd in the back of the head. She was evaluated by ambulance personnel but was driven to Harton Hospital by her husband for treatment of the laceration to her head.
Ambulance person also checked a second employee, Valerie Curtis, who had been pushed into a steel door in the restaurant. According to police, she recalled being awakened by Dodd after the robbery. She declined to be transported to Harton Hospital.
In addition to wearing bandanas over their faces the two robbers were wearing ball caps that were turned around backwards, according to Tullahoma Police Chief Paul Blackwell.
