On Saturday, over 300 participants walked for a cause during Tullahoma’s 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Event. This annual fundraiser helps the Alzheimer’s Association continue research and educational programs with the hope of one day finding a cure to this terrible disease. Also, with the desire to provide healing to its participants, the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s kick off ceremony included an emotional promise garden where event participants each signed a symbolic flower shaped pinwheel of a certain color to represent how they each have been affected by Alzheimer’s in their lives. Everyone from those currently diagnosed to those who simply desire a cure to this widespread disease took part in this year’s event. With already $40,000 pledged, the 2013 Tullahoma Walk to End Alzheimer’s Event has once again been a great success.
