William Garett Bates, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 at the age of 27.
Billy was born in 1986 to William Carl and Clare Peshin Bates.
William was employed as a salesman for Tri-Green Equipment in Winchester. While in school at Tullahoma, he was involved in numerous athletics programs including baseball, soccer, and football; he loved many outdoor activities such as farming, hunting and fishing.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, and Ducks Unlimited.
In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by his grandmother, Mary Eva Peshin of Waltham, Massachusetts; three sisters, Meghan Gordon and her husband Stephen of Alexandria, Virginia; Amanda D’zurilla and her husband Alan of Bradenton, Florida, Carla Anslem and her husband Nick of Rochester, New York; fiancée Meaghan Wilson of Franklin, Tennessee; two nephews, Aaron D’zurilla and Evan Anselm; and one niece, Sophia Anselm.
Visitation for Billy will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2013 at First United Methodist Church from 4:00-7:00pm.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2013 at 4:00pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Purdue and Vona Wilson officiating.
Following services the family will be receiving guests and having a meal in Davidson Hall located at First United Methodist Church.
