The juvenile and adult male that were arrested last week on drug charges were in court yesterday. Both were appointed attorneys. Manchester Police with the help of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department has been conducting a long term investigation of the sale of marijuana that has been supplying several students at Coffee County High School. Investigators have made large marijuana buys from a star football player in recent weeks. This operation resulted in a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence, just outside the city limits of Manchester on Thursday night following a third drug sale. In all approx. 10 pounds of marijuana was seized as well as several weapons. The juvenile has been charged along with the adult. The duo have been charged with three counts of the sale of marijuana over one pound, possession of marijuana for re-sale. C.L. Brown was also charged with six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of firearms by a felon. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail on a $285,000 bond. The juvenile is being housed in the Bedford County juvenile detention center.
