After a very long day in the heat Stout holds his 5th place trophy
On Wednesday the Coffee County boy’s golf team hosted the Lawrence Family Motors/ Willowbrook Invitational. 23 teams competed in the annual event. Lawrence County took home the championship with a team score of 295. Notre Dame finished in 2nd
place with a 296 followed by Hendersonville with a 297 and Coffee County came in 4th
with a 301. The Red Raider boys are now 62-5-1 on the season. Andy Stout who finished 5th
overall individually carded a 1-under 71. Stout tied the school record for the first 9-holes with a 32. Teammate Matt Johnson who is co-owner of the record had a 74 on the day. Kyle Johnson shot a 76 and Jacob Prater came in with an 80. Trey Lashlee who competes for the junior varsity Raiders shot his career best with a 75.
Andrew Riddle of Notre Dame was the individual champion shooting a 5-under 67. He defeated Ben Carroll of Hardin County in a playoff.
Coffee County girls and JV boys will take on Grundy County today in a 9-hole match at Willowbrook.
