Mrs. Mildred Wilder Benefield, age 94 , of Tullahoma, TN, passed away Tuesday morning, August 20, 2013, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma.
She was a native Randolph County, AL., and the daughter of the late John Wilder and Ellen Elizabeth Hadley Wilder.
Mrs. Benefield worked for many years at Tennessee Apparel as a seamstress. “Granny B.”, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, enjoyed crocheting doilies, sweedish weaving blankets, and making American flags. She enjoyed sewing and was a seamstress for the public in her earlier years. She also loved her flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Harvey Benefield.
She is survived by a daughter Renda (Johnny) Minor of Tullahoma, a son James Mac (Jeanette) Benefield of Alvin, TX., granddaughter Natalie (Jason) Damron of Tullahoma, grandsons Kevin (Kelly) Minor of Oklahoma City, OK., and James (Debbie) Benefield of League City, TX., great grandchildren John, Jack, and Jase Damron, Harlie and Isabel Minor, and Ethan Benefield.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 25, 2013, from 1:00PM until 3:30 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will begin at 3:30 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bratton Tucker officiating.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
