“Labor and Workforce Development will never be effective if we operate in a vacuum, so reaching out to the local workforce areas is a critical step for us,” said Phillips. “It’s an exciting time to participate in this discussion because the local input we are gathering will shape how we serve our clients well into the future.”
Local elected officials, Economic and Community Development representatives, and state legislators were in attendance.
Gary Morgan, the Executive Director of Workforce Solutions, is leading the charge to identify and respond to the state’s needs for quality workforce education and training. Workforce Solutions operates in seven counties in Tennessee including Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Lincoln, Moore, and Warren.
