Mr. E.C. Bailey, age 94, of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.
E.C. was preceded in death by his wife Eunice Bailey, parents, William Thomas Bailey and Katherine Wright Bailey, four brothers, Levi Bailey, Zirkle Bailey, Lonnie Bailey, Preston Bailey, and two sisters, Myrtle McGill and Estelle Savage.
He is survived by two daughters, Alma Jean Lesley and husband Bobby of Tullahoma, TN, Brenda Sue Burton and husband Earl of Tullahoma, TN, one son Billy Ray Bailey and wife Donna of Edwardsburg, MI, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and special angels Margaret Morrison and Sue Barnes.
Mr. Bailey was a member and one of the founders of the Temple Baptist Church. The Temple Baptist gymnasium was named in his honor. E.C. was a Deacon and served as song leader for over fifty years. He was very creative and loved inventing things. His faith and his family were his life. He worked at AEDC for over forty years as a boilermaker.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bailey will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Adams, Brother Jack Hice, and Reverend Greg Nash officiating.
Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
