VERA MAE INGLE, age 81, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Southern TN Medical Center following an extended illness.
She had been a resident at The Willows at Winchester Care and Rehabilitation Center for approximately five years. She was born in Cowan, Tenn., to the late Burnice Wilson and Ina Williams Shepherd. She was a member of the Thorogood Street Church of Christ in Cowan, Tenn. She was an active and faithful member until her health failed. She was a “people person”, she loved gospel music and visiting with Ministers. Her hobbies were jewelry, bingo and painting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ingle, Sr., brothers; Rex Allen Wilson and Burnice Wilson, and step-father, Thomas Shepherd.
She is survived by her son, Albert Ingle, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Cowan, Tenn., granddaughter, Brendy Ingle also of Cowan, sisters; Joedna Wilson of Cowan, Betty Hall of Chattanooga, Tenn., sisters-in-law, Wilsie Ford of Cowan and Susie Harden of Mulberry, Tenn., devoted cousin, Martha Porter of Winchester, devoted friend Biondell Jackson of Winchester, devoted Minister, Pamela Taylor of Cowan.
Services for Ms. Ingle are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 1:00.
Interment will follow in the Thorogood Cemetery in Cowan where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband.
