Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Lee Jones, age 71, of Manchester, will be conducted Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Randy Thomas officiating.
Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born December 16, 1941 in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Tommy Rivers and Wilma Pillow Rivers. She spent many years residing in Chicago, IL prior to moving to Manchester 28 years ago. She will forever be remembered by her family as a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed flower gardening and reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a wonderful cook. She was a member of the Original Church of Jesus Christ in Manchester for several years where she dearly loved to worship.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Alma Rivers.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jim Jones of Manchester; four children, Debra Sue Cotton of Downers Grove, IL; Kathy Jane Jones of Ft. Worth, TX; James Matthew Jones and wife, Tina of Manchester; and John Mark Jones and wife, Mary Jo of McHenry, IL; nine grandchildren, Matthew David Cotton, Daniel Jonathan Cotton, Andrew Curtis Walker, Austin Samuel Walker, Trevor Norman Jones, Ethan John Jones, Haley Jane Jones, Colin James Jones and Maggie Irene Jones; also surviving is a sister, Eva Dunning of Valdez, Alaska.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in Memory of Mrs. Jones to the Original Church of Jesus Christ, 4404 Murfreesboro Hwy, Manchester, TN 37355.
