Albert was born April 28th, 1925, to Haskel Debose and Georgie (Cyree) Foster in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He was the oldest of seven children. He attended schools in Tullahoma.
He married Mary Francis June Martin on April 15th, 1949. Together they shared 50 wonderful years and were blessed with two sons, Emmett and Norman.
Albert enlisted in the Army in 1946 and proudly served his country during the end of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the military on March 21st, 1977.
He was also a third degree mason and member of Felix Grandy Lodge, Pelham, Tennessee.
Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family. He truly loved playing country music. Through music he brought entertainment and happiness into so many lives. It didn’t matter where he was stationed, he was always in a band. He also enjoyed just getting together with his brothers and sons and playing music with them.
Albert found the Lord in June 27th, 1986 which brought great joy to him. He loved his church family as much as he loved his own family. He was a member of Roarks Cove Baptist Church. All of his family was a very important part of his life.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, June, of over 50 years; his father and mother, his sisters, Ruby Davis and Clara Bob Thurman and several aunts, uncles and in-laws.
He is survived by son Emmett (Karen) of East Helena, Montana, and their children, Christopher Foster, Angel (Lance) Rafferty and Tanja (Shawn) Herlihy; his son Norman (Patti) of Michigan City, Indiana, and their children, Samantha, Caitlin and Dakota and three great grandsons, Stephen, Derrick, and Shawn Herlihy. He is also survived by his sisters, Alberta Coker and Glendon Thorn; his brothers, Kenneth and Ralph and by many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Albert Foster will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013, from 4:00PM until 9:00PM at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 1:00PM, in the Chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home, with Brother Larry Mead officiating.
Burial will follow in Head of Hurricane Cemetery in Moore County, TN., with full military honors. Brother David McGee will be officiate the Graveside Service.
