Jimmy B. Jones, Jr
Murder charges against Jimmy Bryon Jones were bound over to the next term of the Coffee County Grand Jury Friday. After hearing evidence against Jones, General Sessions Judge Jere Ledsinger determined that there was sufficient evidence for the case to be heard by the grand jury members. The body of Connie Lou Brown was found March 9 in the Summitville cave area. Her body had been badly burned with the exception of one hand and some of her hair. During testimony, Sheriff’s investigator Chad Partin testified that they learned Jones was wearing a GPS tracking device and once they obtained information where he had been they learned that he had been at the Summitville cave on the day that Brown was murdered and then returned 3 days later.
Jones of Warren County is being held in the Coffee County Jail under a $2 M bond.
