Heavy rain on Saturday brought several traffic problems to the area.
The major accident was late Saturday morning at mile marker 119 on Interstate 24 eastbound in Coffee County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the wreck involved a Ryder rental vehicle and an 18-wheeler and backed traffic for nine miles.
At least two people were injured and taken to a Manchester hospital by Coffee County EMS. The THP is investigating the accident.
As that mishap was being worked another accident occurred near mile marker 110 westbound. Traffic slowly maneuvered through the area as emergency crews cleared the one-vehicle non-injury wreck.
Shortly after that accident a one involving two vehicles happened in front of KFC on the Hillsboro Blvd. in Manchester. No other information was available in the early Saturday afternoon crash.
On Saturday evening wreck number four occurred, making this one number three on the day on I-24 around 6pm. This was a single car accident and one five year-old was transported to a local hospital with an arm injury.
