Steve Tudor, one of the partners of the organization, announced at a recent meeting of the Tullahoma Airport Authority that Russo of Cullman, AL, will be overseeing the club’s activities in Tullahoma.
The skydiving club has been parachuting Saturdays and Sundays in the spring and summer months at the airport.
Russo, who was present at the authority’s meeting, said he would like to see more activity during the week and that he had informed Fort Campbell officials that jumps by Army personnel would be possible at the Tullahoma airport as he is expecting to receive the certification needed to allow the jumps.
He noted that if the military starts jumping through the week there would be an increase in fuel sales and other revenue. The authority members voiced support for Russo’s plan.
