Stacey Lee Floyd was 40 years of age when he was hit by a car and killed less than a mile of his home on Oak Hill Road near Manchester.
He was riding bikes with his wife and children on that sad day, and a “Ride to Remember” event was held Saturday in his memory.
Aimee, Stacey’s wife, said that Stacey was so proud of the new Youth Wellness Room at the Manchester Recreation Complex. He enjoyed watching children on the climbing wall and on the play features.
All proceeds raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the Youth Wellness Room so that his legacy is not forgotten.
19 adults and 17 children rode in the event.
