FRED MARSHALL OWENS, age 80, of Winchester, TN, departed this life on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center Skilled Care.
Mr. Owens was a disabled veteran due to injuries he sustained in the Korean War. When Mr. Owens was younger he attended Owens Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and recently he enjoyed attending the Baptist Services held at Golden Living Center where he was a resident. Mr. Owens showed his Christian faith by the way he lived his life. He was a good Christian man with a sweet spirit, always smiling and it was very easy to love him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents; Orien and Delma Couch Owens and step-mother, Dora Songer
Owens, brothers, Frank and Wayne Owens and sisters, Nora Morris and Ruth Clower.
He is survived by his sisters; Faye Maxwell of Huntland, Tenn., Debbie Owens and Diana (Steve) Cole all of
Winchester, brothers; Roy (Trudy) Clark of Winchester, Max (Mary) Owens of Arkansas, Jim (Marie) Owens of Belvidere, Jackie Owens and Larry (Debbie) Owens all of Winchester, David Owens of Hillsboro, Tenn., Many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Owens will be held from 4:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday Evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Grant Funeral Services with Rev. Bill Owens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Owens Chapel Cemetery in Winchester with Military Honors bestowed.
