After losing for the first time ever in District 6-AAA play on Monday to Cookeville the Coffee County Lady Raiders got it rolling on Wednesday night at Cookeville. The Lady Raiders pounded out 17 hits and beat the Lady Cavaliers 19-1. Brianna Jones homered twice and had a double knocking in 3 runs and was the winning pitcher. Anna Spellings also hit a homerun and had 4 RBI. The big inning for Coffee County was the 4th as 13 runs crossed the plate.
The 13-5 Lady Raiders have scored 33 runs in the last two games. Next up the ladies will travel to Cumberland County on Tuesday.
The Coffee County baseball suffered its second loss of the week to Cookeville on Wednesday night, 3-0. The Cavaliers improved to 15-0 on the year and 6-0 in District 6-AAA as the Raiders fell to 4-14 and 1-5 in district play.
Next up Coffee County they’ll will host Lincoln County Friday at 6pm and travel to Lavergne on Saturday night.
