Audit Shows County Needs Centralized Money System

checkbookThe office of the state comptroller recently completed an audit of the Coffee County financial records. While the auditors did not find any glaring problems, they did state in their report that they believed that a central system of accounting, budgeting and purchasing is the best practice that the county should adopt. The division of local government audit stated in their report to the county that they felt that a centralized system would significantly improve accountability and the quality of services provided to the citizens of Coffee County.
