Charges of rape of a child was returned by the Coffee County Grand Jury during its recent session.
Samuel Earl King, 18, of Murfreesboro Highway, Manchester, was arrested Tuesday on the rape charges. He was released from jail on a $50,000 bond.
According to the indictments King raped a child under 13 years of age.
The case was investigated by Manchester Police Investigator Butch Stewart.
